Alphonse Kioko is an alumnus of Harvard Business School (U.S.), where he undertook Advanced Management training. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics (1985) and a Master’s degree (1987) from the University of Nairobi. He has also pursued executive studies at Maastricht University (Netherlands) and the University of Cape Town Business School (South Africa).

Mr. Kioko has held senior leadership positions in the airline industry, most of which were based outside Kenya. Notably, he served as the Group Managing Director and CEO of Precision Air from 2003 to 2013, steering the airline through a decade of growth.

He is the Founder and Chairman of several companies, including Almak Aqua Drillers Ltd, Gelian and Semara Hotels, MHTI, and Misty Rivers Ltd. Beyond his entrepreneurial ventures, he has contributed his expertise in governance, serving on multiple boards — among them as Chairman of Panda Capital (until 2023) and Chairman of the Tourism Fund (until 2023).
